Integrated Solutions - Business Development Manager
The successful applicant will join the Integrated Solutions team as Business Development Manager. Your responsibility will be to grow existing business, whilst seeking new business opportunities through engagement with Systems Integrators, Consultants and End Users. The role is very varied, in terms of the technology we sell and the brands we represent, and although we are a trade only 'Value Added Distributor', your role will involve selling technology and solutions, creating a pull through the channel with your work with end users and consultants.
Following the recent re-branding from POLARaudio to POLAR, the role will require you to talk competently in not only Audio, but the discipline of AV over IP, Video, Networking and Unified Communications. The role will be technically challenging but training will be provided and previous experience in some of these disciplines is desirable but not essential. Technologies within our range include Biamp DSP, Video over IP and beamtracking microphones, Renkus- Heinz Digitally Steerable loudspeakers, Yamaha UC products, beyerdynamic wireless microphones and conference technology and ZeeVee AV over IP.
What is essential, is that you are enthusiastic, well organised with a methodical approach to organisation with a drive to succeed. You will be part of a supportive team, but you must be self motivated and driven. Most of all, you must be committed to growing new business.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Building relationships with existing trade customers
• Growing POLAR market share within customer base
• Establishing relationships with new customers
• Demonstrate product on a technical and sales level to trade customers, end users and consultants (training will be given)
• Assist with project design in conjunction with the POLAR technical team
• Manage, track & report project and sales opportunity timescales
This is a permanent position, and is UK based. A generous basic and commission package will be paid for the right candidate as well as company vehicle / allowance + benefits.
