Jordan Honsinger uses Radial for stage and studio

It’s been a big year for Cold Creek County. They released the Homemade EP, made the front cover of Canadian Musician magazine, and were nominated for 2017 Group Of The Year at the Juno Awards and the CCMA Awards. Perhaps most triumphant of all, their multi-instrumentalist Jordan Honsinger has been added to Radial’s Tonebone artist roster.

"The PZ-Pre has simplified my life on stage and in the studio! It has super flexible routing options, sounds great with my banjo/acoustic guitar, and it’s built to endure all kinds of punishment!"

Keeping It Simple

Honsinger needed to streamline his live setup while maintaining a compact rig that could handle the rigors of touring, flying, trucking, kicking and screaming. All while sounding good doing it. For this, he imparts the Radial J48™ Phantom Powered Active Direct Box and BigShot I/O™ True Bypass Instrument Selector on his touring pedal board.

The Ultimate Acoustic Preamp

Additionally, Jordan uses the Tonebone PZ-Pre™ Acoustic Instrument Preamp which features an EQ with feedback-eliminating notch filters, a combination boost/effects loop, and multiple output options for the PA system, monitors and tuner.

When he’s not on the road with Cold Creek County, Jordan also writes, engineers and produces other artists in his home studio. There he uses the Bassbone OD™ 2-channel bass preamp from Tonebone, a Radial JDI™ Passive Direct Box, X-Amp™ Active Re-Amplifier, and an EXTC™ 500 Series Guitar Effects Interface for blending in guitar pedal effects into the signal chain.
