Fort Hope brings the noise with Ampeg

Fort Hope are already well on their way to taking their place amongst the upper echelons of British rock. They’ve toured with the likes of Mallory Knox, Frank Iero (ex-My Chemical Romance), Jimmy Eat World and Moose Blood, gained a nomination for ‘Best British Newcomer’ at this year’s Relentless Kerrang! Awards and delivered storming sets on the Pit Stage at Reading and Leeds Festival.

A Meteoric Rise

Formed in 2013, Fort Hope are Jon Gaskin (vocals, guitar and piano), Jamie Nicholls (drums) and Simon Rowlands (bass). The then unmanaged band gained attention from the major labels when their previous single ‘Plans’ became Radio 1 ‘Track of the day’ and had huge Kerrang! radio support. Live they already have a fearsome reputation, and will be heading out on the road again in 2018.

Putting Together The Bass Rig

Bass player Simon Rowlands chose the Ampeg SVT-4PRO head for its high output and solid build quaility, that can stand up to both the raucous volumes required at Fort Hope shows and the rigors of touring that a busy band subjects their gear to.

Onwards and Upwards

Fort Hope have continued to grow with numerous plays on Radio 1. They have been nominated for "Best British Newcomer" in the 2015 Kerrang! Awards and played on the Fresh Blood stage at Slam Dunk Festival. In the summer they will play 2000 trees, T in the Park and Reading & Leeds.
